Light is an important element for human life. It not only brightens our world but also shapes our feelings, senses, and culture. In this artwork, wind and light work together as the main forces. They move the installation in a natural and simple way, showing the invisible power of nature. This use of natural energy makes us think about the relationship between humans and nature.

In modern society, cities are growing fast. Tall buildings replace open skies. Artificial lights make our world bright at all times, and technology separates us from nature. Do we still remember the sunlight shining through the leaves? Do we notice how the wind shapes our surroundings? When our lives are full of screens and machines, can we still feel nature like before?

This artwork is a response to these changes. It moves with the wind, and light creates changing colors on its surface. Viewers experience nature through this movement. As the wind blows, light and shadow dance, reflect, and shift. It feels like nature is speaking to us. This reminds us that even though society is moving fast, nature still follows its own rhythm around us.

  • Visible Spectrum:
  • Visible light is part of the electromagnetic wave, with
  • different wavelengths.
  • The wavelengths of light we can see range from about 400 nanometers (violet) to 700 nanometers (red).
  • Violet: about 400-450 nm
  • Blue: about 450-495 nm
  • Green: about 495-570 nm
  • Yellow: about 570-590 nm
  • Orange: about 590-620 nm
  • Red: about 620-700 nm
  • Different Wavelengths:
  • Different colors come from different wavelengths of light. When light passes through an object, the object absorbs some wavelengths of light and reflects or lets through others. The reflected or transmitted light is the color we see with our eyes

The installation will be placed on an open lawn. This location was chosen because the installation depends on natural elements like wind and sunlight. Since the windmill is powered by wind, an open space ensures a steady and strong wind supply without being blocked by tall buildings or trees. This allows the windmill to keep spinning and maintain its dynamic effect. At the same time, enough sunlight is important for the Dichroic Film in the rotating disc, enhancing its light and color effects for a more vibrant visual experience. s

Placing the installation in the center of the site will also increase its visibility and attract more attention. Its interactive and visually striking design will engage visitors, making it a landmark art installation that adds excitement and social value to the environment.

  1. Through light refraction and filtration, the installation creates rich colored light spots on the ground. These spots constantly change as the windmill spins and the disk moves, generating dynamic light-shadow effects.
  2. The changing light and shadows not only provide visual beauty but also encourage the audience to reflect on the interaction between light and objects, sparking curiosity about natural light.
    Impact:
    Perceptual Impact:
Through interaction with the installation, the audience experiences the shifting light and color changes in space, gaining an intuitive understanding of the principles of light refraction, filtration, and projection. Emotional Impact:
The abundant colored light spots and ever-changing shadows provide an immersive visual experience, evoking pleasant and relaxed emotional responses from the audience

Wind Turbine: The main framework of the wind turbine is constructed from carbon fiber and coated with reflective paint, reducing the overall weight while aligning with the materiality of the supporting components. All supporting parts of the wind turbine are made from aluminum alloy, which is lighter and more durable than steel. The turbine features hollow sections made from dichroic panels, allowing sunlight to interact with the openings at various angles, creating dynamic light effects.

Outer Frame: The entire frame is crafted from aluminum alloy, offering both strength and aesthetic appeal. The outer ring is decorated with dichroic paper, providing a visually dynamic effect as light changes with the angle of view.

Rest Area: The seating area utilizes birch wood, known for its cost-effectiveness and attractive appearance. The light-colored wood complements the overall color scheme of the space, enhancing its natural warmth and harmony.

Flooring: The flooring is made from stainless steel with an anti-slip pattern, ensuring safety while maintaining a sleek and durable surface.
